"Oh, my god, I'm right here, calm down," Beverly says in a rush as she swings the door open, though she knows that telling Richie to calm down is probably completely futile. Under the circumstances, she can't really say she blames him, though she would hesitate to admit that part out loud. She remembers — she thinks — her first real kiss, and how she felt after. Her own excitement might have been considerably more muted, but it was still there.
Grinning, she figures she might as well get right to the point, since he probably would have anyway. Once the door is closed, she asks, "So what's this about you kissing someone twice?"
